Information   Penck analyses human behavior and social conditioning in an elemental and suggestive visual language by using elements of cave painting and the Ice Age. After his departure from the German Democratic Republic in 1980 he was represented on the Documenta VII in Kassel (1982) and the Biennale in Venice (1984).
