Information   Hopper is one of the most important masters of American realism. In 20 th century. He is continuing the tradition of French realistic and impressionistic painting. His urban scenes and landscapes point out the lonesomeness of the individual in modern society. With remarkable perspective and unusual focusing he obliges the viewer to take part in the theme in a very personal and conscious manner. Even the unconsciousness is very meaningfull for Hopper´s notion of reality.
